2013 ParrotHeads for Paws

Saturday night April 27th 2013 at the “ParrotHeads for Paws” fund raiser a representative from H.O.P.E. Spay and Neuter clinic came up to me and expressed their desire to get a much needed used XRAY machine. They have one lined up but just can’t afford the $3,000 price tag. As I was running the numbers through my head I had a feeling that we could be close to raising that amount. Today I was blown away by the numbers. ParrotHeads be Proud!!! We out did ourselves!!!! It looks like they will be getting that machine plus. We doubled last years amount by raising $4,000 for H.O.P.E. Along with the cash we donated 450 pounds of food for the Fort Wayne Pet Food Pantry and a SUV full of supplies for H.O.P.E.

Thanks to all that showed up to help make this a tremendous success. You all proved to me that you truly know how to "Party with a Purpose".

Thanks to all the committee members that pulled this together. You guys did a fantastic job!!! I appreciate you guys so much!

Thanks also to 4 D's, James Medical, Higher Image Salon, Unique Boutique, Tilted Kilt, Fresh Market, and all the fellow ParrotHeads for all the donations.

Thanks to H.O.P.E. and Fort Wayne Pet Food Pantry for getting the word out and bringing so many with you to help us make this such a success.

Finally thanks to the great sounding Party Boat Band. You guys sounded great last night!

Fort Wayne Indiana was nicknamed the Summit City because it was the highest point along the Wabash Erie Canal. We named our club the Summit City ParrotHead Club because we strive for the highest standards when it comes to ”Partying with a Purpose” The social club formed in 1997 and holds several Phund raisers and community events throughout the year.

Our purpose is to bring together those people in our community who embrace and enjoy Jimmy Buffett's music, writings, and lifestyle and choose to leave this world just a little better than we found it (and have PHUN doing it!)
